The aim of the Indian Journal of Neurotrauma (IJNT) is to provide a platform
for accumulation and dissemination of ideas and information related to
the field of neurotrauma, leading to overall improvement in its understanding
and with the ultimate benefit to the patient with neurotrauma. The journal
will be a standard reference source for peer reviewed data on neurotrauma
in India.
Instructions
for Authors
Scope : IJNT seeks to provide information on the current knowledge,
problems and controversies in the specialized filed of neurotrauma. The
approach is holistic, covering all aspects of neurotrauma as it affects
the population in general or the individual patient in particular.
Publication Policy
IJNT is published twice a year, i.e., in June and December. Each issue
is structured as follows:

(g) Neurotrauma prevention
(h) Correspondence
Manuscript
One hard copy of the manuscript along with an electronic version need
to be submitted. The typed manuscript should be in English (United States)
and printed on standard 21x28 cm paper with 2.5 cm margin (A4 size paper).
The text should be double spaced and printed on one side of the sheet.
Electronic files should be submitted in standard word-processing format
(Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect). Do not submit ASCII text files.
Each submitted disc should be clearly labeled clearly. The disc should
contain only one file, that is the final version of the article.
Title Page
The title page should give
(a) Complete manuscript title without abbreviations or acronyms
(b) Authors full name, highest academic degree(s), and affiliations
(c) Address for correspondence (do not give PO Box No), including telephone
number, facsimile number and e-mail address
(d) Sources of support that require acknowledgement
Manuscript should structured as follows:
Unstructured abstract and Keywords: The abstract should not be more than
300 words. It must be factual and comprehensive, without the use of abbreviations.
List upto five Keywords.
Text: The text should be organized into five main headings: Introduction,
Material and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusion. The full form
an abbreviation should be written at its first use, unless it is a standard
unit of measure.
References: Authors are responsible for accuracy of references.
The references should be numbered by Arabic numerals in superscript, and
listed in order of appearance. All the authors should be listed if their
number is six or less. If more than six authors, list only the first three
authors followed by et al.

Figures: Cite figures consecutively in the text and number them
in the order in which they are discussed. The first author's name and
fig number should pasted on the back of each figure. Submit one set of
high quality glossy black and white photographs while ensuring patient
anonymity. Figure legends should be submitted for all figures and should
appear on a separate page after the references. Color figures cannot be
printed.
Digital Figures: Figures in electronic form may be submitted as
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) files and must be accompanied by high
quality prints. Preferred format are Photoshop or Corel. Each figure should
be contained as an individual file in a separate folder.
Tables: Cite tables consecutively in the text and number them in
that order. Key each table on a separate sheet, and include table title
and explanatory legends. Do not embed the table in the body of the text.
Tables should be self-explanatory and must supplement, rather than duplicate
the information in the text.
Copyright: All authors must sign a copy of the journal's copyright
transfer form and submit it by post or fax. Permissions: Authors must
submit permission from the copyright owner (usually the publisher) to
use copyright-protected material.
